It happens more frequently than you might suspect. You apply to college, get in, and sometime in your freshman year you find yourself not quite satisfied.
The reasons will vary: you may fit better in a smaller environment, or an urban one. You received insufficient guidance in high school and now are at a place that fails to challenge you intellectually. Your cohort happens to be filled with people who are nothing like you.
